AI tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek may seem like an efficient solution for generating job descriptions in multiple languages, but they come with significant risks. While fast and impressive, the tools often lack training on industry-specific data sets and rely heavily on user input. A minor error in the prompt can lead to inaccurate or misleading job descriptions (JDs).
What does that look like?
Well, conventional AI is susceptible to bias, hallucinations, and a lack of transparency. Meaning, content – specifically job descriptions – taken directly from these tools may be incorrect, flawed, or even discriminatory. Plus, if users are following data security requirements and best practices, AI solutions must be built on authentic, validated information rather than generic algorithms. Without proper safeguards, these risks can compromise both the quality of job descriptions and overall recruitment success.
At Joveo, we recognize these risks and tackle them head on, ensuring precise prompt engineering, designed to get accurate results, based on 11 different dimensions. In case you are not familiar with the term, prompt engineering is the practice of designing and refining prompts to guide AI models – like gen AI – to produce desired outputs. The engineering process involves carefully crafting input text that tells the model to generate responses aligned with specific goals or requirements. Getting this right is essential for effectively harnessing the capabilities of AI models.
When creating a tool like a job description optimizer, prompt engineering plays a critical role. A job description optimizer aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of job postings by ensuring they are clear, engaging, and inclusive – that can only be done when the AI model learns from the right kind of data, guided by the right prompts.
Unlike conventional AI tools like ChatGPT or DeepSeek, Joveo’s job description optimizer (JDO) is designed specifically for job descriptions, ensuring fairness, reliability, and privacy, all while supporting 30 languages.
Here’s how we tackle the biggest AI risks.
AI is Biased – We Keep it Real
AI bias occurs when machine learning systems develop skewed output. This often happens because models are trained on imbalanced data. In the context of job descriptions, biased AI might unintentionally use language that favors certain demographics, perpetuates gendered stereotypes, or overlooks inclusive terminology – ultimately discouraging talented candidates from applying. For example, some AI tools may unintentionally use language that is proven to appeal more to men when recruiting physicians.
Our JDO tool analyzes language for subtle biases that might escape human detection, such as unintentionally exclusionary terminology or culturally loaded phrases. In the process, our system preserves your intended tone, style, and core requirements while ensuring terms remain gender-neutral, stereotypes are disarmed, and descriptors like “competitive” or “collaborative” are balanced to appeal to all demographics. We ensure your optimized JD stays true to your vision, while making it sharper, fairer, and more welcoming to talent of all backgrounds.
Joveo’s job description optimizer respects the integrity of your original job description. If your JD doesn’t include biased language, our AI doesn’t “fix” what isn’t broken – instead, we rigorously safeguard its neutrality.
AI Hallucinates and Confabulates – We Make Sure It Sticks to the Facts
Have you ever seen AI generate information that isn’t real!? That’s called hallucination. And when AI makes up arbitrary yet confident-sounding responses, it’s called confabulation.Imagine you’re looking for a basketball coach, but your AI tool randomly adds responsibilities like “designing rocket engines.” Not ideal, right? To maintain context and language integrity, our job description optimizer includes a “language hallucination check” feature.
Here’s how we did it.
Joveo’s data science team tested the effectiveness of our JDO tool across a sample of job descriptions, with stellar results: in 100% – yes, you read that right, 100% – of cases, the language in the optimized JD matched the original, ensuring alignment in tone, style, and terminology, confirming that the tool maintains integrity and consistency with respect to language during the optimization process.
This means the JDO tool identifies and matches the context and languages of both the original and optimized job descriptions, preventing inconsistencies and making sure that the translation is accurate after optimization. This step is absolutely crucial to maintaining a high standard of trustworthiness in multilingual job descriptions.
AI Doesn’t Always Say the Same Thing – We Prioritize Reliability
Inconsistency is one of the biggest problems with AI. You might run the same JD through an AI tool 10 times and get 10 different results. This score fluctuation in large language models (LLMs) is called temperature. The “temperature” parameter in AI refers to how random or “creative” the model’s outputs are. Low temperature means more predictable and less random output, while high temperature means more creativity, but potentially less accurate output.
To address this, our data science team has adjusted the level of randomness (temperature) in such a way that our tool has a certain level of creativity while still remaining true and reliable. To ensure low temperature, we did a homogeneity check to check for similarities or consistency within a group.
We assessed homogeneity in optimized job descriptions by evaluating 100 sample JDs across five iterations. This involved three steps:
- Score generation: where the same JDs were repeatedly assessed
- Variance calculation: which measured consistency in scoring across iterations
- Dimension-wise scoring: ensuring precise numerical evaluation
The results showed zero variance in both original and optimized JD scores, meaning our AI consistently assigned the same scores across all iterations. This confirms our tool’s reliability, ensuring that your job descriptions are evaluated and optimized without random fluctuations.
Consistency and Reliability in Translated JDs
To ensure our tool remains consistent and reliable when translating job descriptions, we’ve added a new feature that assesses the alignment between original and translated JDs. This ensures that when job descriptions are translated the scores remain consistent, helping ensure the output is reliable.
To get this right, we analyzed more than 400 job descriptions across multiple languages to look at score consistency before and after optimization. The average score difference ranged from 2% to 3%, indicating slight variations in how job descriptions were initially rated. This confirms that while some variation exists, the optimization process consistently enhances job descriptions without drastic deviations during the translation process.
AI Can Be Snoopy – We Respect Your Privacy
Many AI tools store user data, which can pose serious privacy risks – particularly in our industry! At Joveo, we do NOT store your job descriptions or share your data. Your information remains private, secure, and confidential. Unlike conventional AI tools that might use your data to train their models, our JDO operates with a strict data privacy policy to keep your hiring process secure.
Supporting 30 Languages and Strengthening SEO
One of our JDO’s standout features is its ability to optimize job descriptions in 30 languages, while also enhancing SEO performance. Unlike ChatGPT or DeepSeek, which may struggle with maintaining meaning across translations, our JDO ensures that your job descriptions remain clear, effective, and search-friendly, no matter the language. Whether you’re hiring in Germany, Japan, or Brazil, we’ll help you reach top talent without losing quality, accuracy, or visibility in search results. By incorporating the right keywords and structured formatting, our tool helps your job posts rank higher on search engines, ensuring they reach the right candidates!
